Stability Control Instrument

Purpose

Stability Control Instrument (SCI) is designed for automated testing of trim, stability and overall longitudinal strength of a vessel. The use of SCI allows to reduce the time required by the crew to check the safety parameters of the vessel, as well as to reduce the influence of the human factor on the accuracy of such calculations.

Structure

SCI has a modular structure and consists of the following main sections:

  • Cargo (general and bulk or liquid cargo)

Depending on the type of vessel, SCI is supplemented with subsections for loading with containers, piece goods, etc.

Draught Survey Module

Purpose

The module is designed to determine the amount of loaded or unloaded cargo, taking into account the actual landing of the vessel.

  • The calculation algorithm is based on generally accepted methods.

  • The structure allows for intermediate calculations to be carried out by dividing the loading (unloading) process into several stages.

  • No need to install additional software. Work in SCI through any application that supports the xls format.

Tank Sounding Module

Purpose

The module is designed to automate the determination of actual volumes of liquid in ship tanks, taking into account the vessel's landing and the physical characteristics of the liquid.

  • The calculation algorithm is based on generally accepted methods.

  • Information on tank characteristics is taken from existing ship tables, or can be calculated if they are not available.

  • Possibility of taking temperature into account to adjust the density of petroleum products.
